Magebay Support Portalpricing policy, same design on different product – Magebay Support Portal https://www.magebay.com/forum/articles/pricing-policy-same-design-on-different-product/feed Sat, 23 Nov 2024 00:29:57 +0000 http://bbpress.org/?v=2.5.14-6684 en-US https://www.magebay.com/forum/articles/pricing-policy-same-design-on-different-product/#post-982 <![CDATA[pricing policy, same design on different product]]> https://www.magebay.com/forum/articles/pricing-policy-same-design-on-different-product/#post-982 Mon, 06 Jul 2015 00:09:39 +0000 sdssrr A couple of questions:

1. I see PDC can set a price for each side, but is it possible to set price based on number of sides that get customized? For example, tshirt, front side only is $10, back side only is also $10, but if printing both front and back side, price is $18 (not $10+$10).

Also is it possible to set price based on print size and number of colors? For example, on tshirt, if the customized area is less than 25 square inches (5″x5″), then price is $10, if the area is more than that, then price is $15, and so on. And, If the print contains only 1 color, then price is $10, if the print contains 2 colors, then price is $15, if the print contains 3 colors, then price is $18, and so on.

2. Also, my next question is if it’s possible to use same design but add multiple products in cart? For example, for tshirts, customer may want to print 20 tshirts with exactly same design, with 5 small/white tshirts, 5 medium/red tshirts, 10 large/red tshirts, etc. Or even use same design on different products – sweatshirts, towels, etc. so user doesn’t have to go through the whole process (select-product => customize it => add to cart) for each product, because the design is the same.

3. And, the last question is that I saw your youtube video that shows “design area” can be defined by quickly dragging/moving a box that’s on top of the product background page, but in my admin panel, the product -> PDC set-up, I have to do a “overlay image” in order to define the design area. Is it because my version is PDC standard and that is only available in a different version? I didn’t see any mentioning of this anywhere before purchasing, so just wondering why.

Thanks.

1, Right now we have no custom price rules such as your request. You can buy a custom services to custom this task.

2, About using “same design but add multiple products in cart” feature not available yet. We will upgrade this function soon.

3, The version that you saw on youtube is old version. Newest version we use “overlay image” to defined design area.

Thanks,
Tim

2. Will this feature be another paying feature or a free upgrade? I would imagine that since you already have the “save design” function, you can just tweak the “save design” function and do a “load design” feature to load previously saved design on different products?

3. Why was this changed? The previous way was much easier for user…

Anyway on the feature list of PDP, it says “The price can change at every option, eg Color, Size, Material, Product Type, ..etc”, just curious why it can be done on earlier version but not in this more expensive version?

Thanks.

Hi,
1, Please send us a document more details about custom price rules. This is quite tricky functions so we need it more clearly.

2, “Save Design” and “Load Design” has related, but it required the design areas have same size(if not, you have to edit the design item to fit the design area). To fit your request, I think it will be better to have a custom package for your project. Same as issue 1, we need the details document.

3, Instead of just using rectangle (old version) to defined the design area, we use “overlay image” to make design area more flexibility. You can defined the design area for different types of products such as: iphone, pillow, tshirt, mugs, …
